NSFS poster at IRPA-14 in South Africa
At the international IRPA conference in South Africa in May 2016, NSFS presented its history and work in a poster.
This was part of the celebration of IRPA’s 50th Anniversary, where all Associate Societies had been been given the opportunity to present themselves to share their experiences and challenges and to facilitate cooperation and communication.
New president and new board 2015-2019
At the NSFS General Assembly on 24 August 2015, the presidecy was transferred to Finland and a new president for the society was elected. Ritva Bly will be the president for the period 2015 – 2019. Ritva will be assisted by Secretary Siiri-Maria Aallos-Ståhl and treasurer Tuukka Turtiainen.
The additional Board members elected in the five Nordic countries were also presented:

A successful conference is over
The XVII conference of NSFS is now over.
We have had 4 days with 47 inspiring talks – 4 invited and 43 contributed – as well as 20 interesting posters from many areas within radiation protection.
Thank you to all 116 participants for contributions and discussions.
14th International IRPA Congress in South Africa
14th International Congress of the Radiation Protection Association takes place 9 – 13 May 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa. Registration is now open and the call for abstracts is out.

Pohjoismainen säteilysuojeluseura perustettiin 1964, ja se edustaa pohjoismaista foorumia tiedon ja kokemusten vaihtoa varten ionisoivan ja ionisoimattoman säteilyn alalla. Nordisk selskap for strålevern ble dannet i 1964, og selskapet representerer et nordisk forum for utveksling av kunnskap og erfaringer innen strålevern i forhold til ioniserende og ikke-ioniserende stråling. Dette omfatter bl.a strålevern for arbeidstagere, pasienter som utsettes for stråling innen diagnostikk og terapi samt beskyttelse av allmennheten. For mer informasjon om selskapet se her.
