NSFS has for a while been working for a translation of Bo Lindell’s four books on the history of radiation and radiation protection into English, and the translation has now begun.<\/p>\n

NSFS has for a while been working for a translation of Bo Lindell’s four books on the history of radiation and radiation protection into English. Thanks to the efforts of NSFS, sufficient funds have now been collected through the generous support of IRPA, NKS and the Nordic Radiation Protection authorities, an editorial board with participants from all Nordic countries has been assembled and a professional translator has been contracted and has started the translation. The intention is that PDF versions of the final translations will be available for free download and printed versions can be provided at cost by print-on-demand.<\/p>\n
Titles of the 4 books (in Swedish): Pandoras ask, Damokles sv\u00e4rd, Herkules storverk, samt Sisyfos m\u00f6da.

The next world congress on radiation protection takes place in Cape Town in May 2016. NSFS participates actively in planning this important congress as Jack Valentin is chairing the program committee. If others are interested in partipation in the planning, please contact the NSFS Board regarding possibilities for nomination.<\/p>\n

The NFSF Board met during the IRPA 13 conference in Glasgow in May 2012, and the minutes are now available.<\/p>\n
At the Associate Societies Forum, NSFS President Mette \u00d8hlenschl\u00e6ger made a presentation of NSFS.<\/p>\n
At the IRPA General Assembly, the NSFS candidate, our Icelandic colleague Sigur\u00f0ur Magnusson, was elected as member of the IRPA Executive Council for the next four years.
