Nordic Society for Radiation Protection – NSFS

The Nordic Society for Radiation Protection (NSFS) was founded in 1964, on the initiative of Professor Rolf Sievert. NSFS is composed of board members and ordinary members from all Nordic countries that arrange a Congress in the hosting country each fourth year. More information can be found here.

Minutes from General Assembly 2025

The 2025 General Assembly of the Nordic Society for Radiation Protection took place on August 28th at the conference in Lillehammer. The meeting could be attended on-site as well as on Teams.

NSFS XX Conference

The (20th) NSFS Conference will start at lunch 27th August and closes at lunch 29th August 2025 in the city of Lillehammer, Norway.

Personal dosimetry in Norway

This document has been prepared by NSFS Working group within medical radiation in Norway. The document shows a compilation of experiences and assessments from hospitals and veterinary services in Norway on who uses and who needs to use personal dosemeters. The document is intended as an aid to the radiation protection advisers/radiation safety officers and others who have questions regarding the use of dosimetry.
